Rob Kolanda has managed and guided throughout Colorado for many years. He also has spent summers guiding the fabled Lake Illiamna/ Bristol Bay watersheds for salmon and trophy rainbows( where he still hosts trips through the shop every summer). Robs turn ons include: Red-heads in waders, Alaska Rainbows, Drakes, a good callibaetis hatch, Pike-ing, Steelies, and getting Wiped out (wipers). His turn offs include power-bait, neoprene waders, kayakers in his run, choagies, and local experts who should try to spend a little more time fishing, and less time writing. Rob can be found on his days off fishing our area waters, travelling to chase large fish in stillwaters, getting ready for a great lakes steelhead trip, or spinning bugs.
